Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County

We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable animal welfare organization.
We rely on Community support, Funds and donations to operate the very
costly spay/neuter and rescue program.
Your
tax deductible
contribution is vital to our continued mission to help the animals.

We are the Animal Rescue Division of the
Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County.
The Animal Rescue Divison (formerly BIAR Bulloch Independent Animal
Rescue) is responsible for helping to find homes for those animals that
become "Last Chance" pets and/or have a medical condition and are
scheduled to be euthanized at the Bulloch Animal Shelter.
Those animals are removed by "Humane Adoption" , picked up by one of
our Volunteers and taken straight to one of our Veterinarians for medical
check, vaccinations, de-worming, spaying/neutereing, etc.

Food, medical care and anything the animals need to live a happy life while
in our care are
paid by donations and adoption fees.

All of our animals are being held and cared for in loving individual foster
homes. The foster parents provide a temporary home with daily care,
medical attention if needed, transportation to vet visits and adoption
events and more. Having enough responsible Foster homes is one of the
most important parts of our Organization since it determines the number of
animals that can be given a second chance.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF ANIMALS
EUTHANIZED IN YOUR COUNTY

THE PAST 3 YEARS OVER 1000 ANIMALS HAVE BEEN
EUTHANIZED IN BULLOCH COUNTY
EVERY YEAR!!

OVER 3 TO 4 MILLION ANIMALS ARE BEING EUTHANIZED IN
SHELTERS EVERY YEAR
(ESTIMATE BE HSUS)

We are NOT the Bulloch County Animal Shelter but we are
working in conjunction with the Bulloch County Animal Shelter,
as well as other animal rescue groups, to accomplish our goal
working to see an end to the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable
animals in Bulloch county .
